Computational Electromagnetics Software

Over the last decade (hmm, pretty long time...) I have written a few computer programs for solving electromagnetic problems. Some of these were written during my initiation to this wonderful world. A few may be quite naiive implementations of well known algorithms.

Notes:

• ftrichA two dimensional FFT accelerated method of moments solver for scattering from inhomogeneous dielectrics. Handles only TM polarization. Uses a rectangular grid with pulse basis and point matching for discretizing the relevant integral equation. Download the source.
• pec2d: A two dimensional FMM accelerated method of moments code for computing bistatic radar cross-section of perfectly conducting targets. Download the source, documentation, and some examples.
• XMF: eXtensible Mesh Format. An attempt at developing a general purpose, portable and extensible XML based format for representing surface mesh and related data for integral equation solvers in electromagnetics. The idea is to provide a format that can be validated independently and to provide a set of parsing functions which make the underlying format transparent to the user. The format is defined using RELAX NG, a simple and intuitive XML schema language. The current implementation uses libxml2, a de facto standard XML parser.

  XMF will not be available for download until further notice; I have discontinued all developments on this project.
